Kirsty Mastores | Co-Founder + Director

Kirsty is a Legal and HR Professional, with extensive experience in the Legal and HR Consultancy/Secondment space internationally.

She started off her career as a lawyer specialising in workplace relations, employment and safety law, where she advised HR clients and senior executives/C-suite across a diverse range of industries including financial services, education, hospitality, aged-care, healthcare, mining, fashion, construction and manufacturing. Upon relocating to Hong Kong (where she resided for over 7 years), she then transitioned into the HR space and led the Talent function across Asia for the world’s largest (and market-leading) legal-secondment provider (back when ‘alternative legal services’ and ‘new law’ were very fresh concepts). On her return to Australia, she has held roles leading the People Function for Australia’s largest Legal Tech Company and acted as a Start-Up Advisor to the Co-Founders of an Australian HR Consultancy.

Kirsty’s career has certainly not been the traditional ‘track’ of a lawyer or HR professional, but her collective and unique individual experience (and her passion for all things people) provides the perfect footing to co-found a business focused on both employment law and HR solutions for Australian businesses with her fellow Co-Founder Yvonne.

Kirsty brings to workchapters a strong foundation in practicing employment law, global + Australian consultancy talent management and HR advisory with experience across law firms, corporates, start-up/scale-ups, legal/HR consultancies and legal tech. She has also launched her own e-commerce brand so understands the challenges and pain points many small businesses can face.

Kirsty is based in Melbourne, Australia with her husband Mark and two children. She holds a double degree from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) - Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology.
