Natalie Smith | Senior HR/ER Consultant

Natalie is a HR professional and transformation specialist passionate about guiding businesses through complex change while enhancing culture and optimising systems.    

Starting her career as an Industrial and Employee Relations Associate, Natalie has worked in a range of HR and Employee Relations positions over the last 12 years. Her varied roles have spanned from HR advisory and client experience to change management and HR technology and systems. She holds a Bachelor of Business from APM College of Business and Communication and a Diploma in Business Administration from Williams Business College. A lifelong learner, she is also a Certified Agile Practitioner with PM – Partners Group and has completed NIDA’s Communication Excellence course.   

Natalie has extensive experience leading organisational change initiatives, such as restructures and merger and acquisition (M&A) integrations across diverse industries including professional services, government, transport and waste management. She supported the scale-up of a digital infrastructure business by setting up the HR function and leading the integration of three merged businesses to grow from 0-300 people while aligning systems, culture, and compliance. Natalie has led complex pay compliance projects and designed an M&A framework for a large-scale retail organisation, addressing people-related risks, cultural alignment, communication planning, and compliance with legal and industrial obligations. 

As a HR and Employee Relations lead, Natalie has developed and executed new People and Culture strategies, managed performance frameworks, implemented improvement and wellbeing initiatives, and supported complex workforce transitions including remediation, redundancies and employment model shifts. She has worked across a broad range of industries and sectors including retail, professional services, health, and consultancy start-ups.  

Natalie provides a range of comprehensive HR services to workchapters clients including redundancy and restructuring management, strategies for mergers and acquisitions, performance management frameworks, and HR technology enhancements, as well as supporting employee wellbeing and managing complex employment relations.   

Natalie is based in Sydney, Australia and available to travel interstate (at cost).
