This Confirmation of Service Letter serves as evidence or ‘official proof’ that an individual is currently (or was previously) employed or engaged by your business. It specifies start dates (and end dates where their employment/engaged has ceased) and job title, to assist that individual in validating such information to third parties in the future. 

It can be provided by the business to employees/contractors/volunteers etc. as part of their ‘off boarding’ when their employment/engagement comes to an end (e.g. by way of resignation, redundancy) or simply upon request.
