Full-Time Employment Contract (Permanent)
This Full-Time Employment Contract (Permanent) can be used for full-time employees engaged on a permanent basis in Australia. This contract is not suitable for part time employees, casual employees or individuals engaged as independent contractors.
Full-time employees are typically engaged for an average of 38 hours per week, have set days/hours or work and have ongoing employment with your business. Note. If the employee is covered by an Enterprise Agreement or Modern Award, refer to the relevant instrument to determine the hours which constitute “full-time work” as it may be less. Permanent part -time employees are usually engaged for less than 38 hours per week, but still have set days/hours.
The Contract is comprehensive in nature and includes all necessary detail to provide the framework for a full-time, permanent employment relationship including the nature of employment, commencement dates, probationary periods, location of employment, ordinary hours of work, payment (and compensation for all legal entitlements), leave entitlements, superannuation, job title/position and reporting lines, return of property, confidential information, policies and procedures, medical assessments (including vaccinations); personal information and privacy, and notice/termination/redundancy.
The Contract also includes “Optional Clauses” for you to select/delete where applicable to your specific business such as reimbursement of work-related expenses, performance/salary reviews, zero-tolerance of drugs and alcohol in the workplace, uniform requirements and more.
